The Shell

The 2x4 posts connected to the base.  I still have to add the rounded edges.

The upper back with one of the 2x2 back braces visible.  As a last step I plan on attaching the back wall to that brace.  It will also act as part of the frame for the bar and the 1" or so that extends above the 2x6 will help keep the roof in place since it will not actually be attached in the final plan.

From the side.  The paint are tests to see how blue it could get.  The answer: this blue.

Window Frames

This is just one window. The frame was made out of .75" x .25" wood bars, grooved and glued together.  I puttied and sanded one side of each part of the frame since it would be visible.

A lot of guys just do one half of a frame since you aren't really going to spend much time in your Tardis.  Since the inside of my windows were going to be very visible when it was open I needed a nice frame for inside as well as outside of the box.

The Base

The first bit assembled was the base.  It was the least expensive as well as least difficult part of the construction.

I constructed this out of 2x4s and a sheet of 3/4" plywood.  Once it was completly screwed/ glued together I used a putty on the imperfections in the wood, cracks and screws.  Once that was sanded down it was ready to go.
